Up for bid is this beautiful Sheaffer's  "Balance"Brown Striated, Gold cap band, Gold plated flat ball hump pocket clip. The flat ball clip appears in 1935, Sheaffer flattened the top surface of the ball. The color of this pen is blackish with brownish striated streaks. This pen has an imprint on the gold plated pocket clip that states, Sheaffer's. The gold nib imprint states, Sheaffer, 3, Made In U.S.A. and is in good condition and writes well. The barrel imprint states, W.A. Sheaffer Pen Co, Fort Madison, Iowa, Patented In U.S.A. 350. This pen is a Vac-fill, but does not draw or hold ink, it will need to be serviced. This pen has a visulated barrel section, to view ink level. This Sheaffer measures about 4 7/8" capped and is well balanced, whether the cap is posted or not. The cap screws on secure. This pen has no dents, dings, teeth marks or engravings, just some faint vintage handling wear except for a scratch mark by blind cap, see photo. A most beautiful pen and in good condition.
